"summary": "Red Bull Racing has announced a new long-term contract extension for team principal Laurent Mekies, keeping him with the Formula 1 team through the 2031 season. This follows the team's recent announcement that Max Verstappen had signed a new deal to remain with the team through at least the 2030 season. Mekies took over as team principal after the team parted ways with Christian Horner after the 2024 British Grand Prix, and helped Verstappen secure another Drivers' Championship in 2025. The team has been performing well, with Verstappen now sitting fourth in the F1 Drivers’ Championship standings with 221 points, behind championship leader Kimi Antonelli. The team's recent form, including Verstappen's wins in the Bahrain and Singapore Grands Prix, has seen them rise up the Constructors’ Championship standings as well, currently sitting fourth in the race.",
