"account": "Apple’s upcoming HomeView device will support third-party apps, including widgets, despite lacking an App Store. Following its unveiling, the specific details of HomeView’s app support have become clearer. Apart from third-party audio and video apps like Spotify, Audible, YouTube, and Netflix, HomeView will also support widgets. This expansion is due to third-party CarPlay apps in these categories being available on HomeView as well. However, HomeView widgets will be more diverse, as any iOS app can provide widgets to CarPlay, meaning the same widgets will be functional on HomeView too. Unless developers choose to exclude them, the popular third-party widgets from Amazon, ChatGPT, Instagram, and others that have been available on CarPlay since iOS 26 will be accessible on HomeView. Pre-orders for HomeView start at $289 for specific models.",
