"account": "Pakatan Harapan candidate selections for the Melaka state election are nearing completion, with more than 95% of the choices finalized, according to the party's communications director, Fahmi Fadzil. Speaking through his dual roles as communications minister, Fahmi revealed that the candidate announcement is set for October 24, though the location has yet to be determined.\n\nDebates over the candidate roster began among the party's component groups, after which individual parties could negotiate with one another for contested seats. Fahmi emphasized that any party in charge of a specific seat is free to discuss the matter with other parties. The final decision, however, would be made by the PH presidential council.\n\nFahmi also clarified that the initial announcement date, originally set for October 18, has been postponed at the request of the Melaka PH leadership. This change was not due to any issues with permits, the event venue, or local authorities. Instead, it was prompted by several leaders, including PH colleagues in Melaka.\n\nThe Election Commission has designated November 14 as the polling day for the Melaka polls, with nomination taking place on October 31 and early voting scheduled for November 10.",
