"account": "On Sunday, October 11, the village of Competa in Axarquia celebrated its 18th annual Dia del Pedal, or Pedal Day, with a joyful family outing. Families rode their bikes together, clad in helmets and T-shirts in support of the cause. At 10 am, riders gathered at the Mirador de Venta de Palma to receive commemorative T-shirts before strapping on their helmets and pedaling off at 11 am. Competa's town hall organized the event, providing each participant with a stamp card for game entry and a chance at prize-winning at the conclusion of the day. Participants arrived at Parque Arroyo Lara around 1 pm, where refreshments awaited the weary cyclists. The day was filled with age-appropriate games for everyone, from The Freezer for toddlers to a Basketball Knockout for adults. Winners of the final three games received prizes, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement as the final bicycle draw was held. The town hall emphasized the spirit of the day as \"un día para disfrutar en familia, del mayor al pequeño,\" meaning a day to enjoy as a family, from the oldest to the youngest. Lucy Ramnought, a local news writer and mother of four, recommends keeping an eye out for the next Pedal Day.",
