"account": "Octopus Energy has introduced a new add-on for its heat pumps, called the Cosy cooler, which allows central heating systems to function as air conditioning units for a modest £500 cost per unit. This innovative device is designed to cool a single room by chilling the water flowing through radiators and extracting warm indoor air using a heat exchanger before circulating it back into the space. Currently, trials are underway with Octopus Energy seeking more testers through their official form. The Cosy cooler is compact, measuring 72cm tall with a width of 43cm and a depth of 35cm, and connects to the existing central heating radiators without requiring significant building work; installation typically takes around three hours. One unit can effectively cool a room, while multiple units can cool different rooms simultaneously, but this would require a higher-tier Cosy heat pump. CEO and founder of Octopus, Greg Jackson, highlighted the importance of preparing British homes for both freezing winters and scorching summers, emphasizing that the Boiler Upgrade Scheme has encouraged investment and innovation in the industry. Additionally, Octopus has recently launched plug-in solar kits that have sold out twice, indicating the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions.",
