"account": "Defense Minister Kang Shin-chul toured Gwangju Air Base in South Korea on Wednesday, inspecting the readiness of the Air Force's 1st Fighter Wing as part of plans to relocate the base to support a major semiconductor cluster project. Located in Gwangju, about 270 kilometers south of Seoul, the base is set to be moved to nearby Muan County. Kang emphasized the importance of maintaining strong readiness while coordinating with the defense ministry to manage the temporary relocation of three squadrons of the 1st Fighter Wing to air bases in Yecheon, Seosan, and Chungju. President Lee Jae Myung recently ordered officials to expedite the process, with the goal of completing the relocation by mid-2028. The defense chief also visited the Army's Ground Operations Command, where he received updates on operational readiness.",
