"account": "René Benko, the founder of Signa, has been granted a request to move from prison to house arrest with an electronic ankle bracelet. His lawyer argued that he needed to be outside prison to prepare for further proceedings. Benko was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in September for fraudulently damaging his creditors. He allegedly made a €360,000 advance rent payment for a property in Innsbruck while his Signa business empire was already in a critical state. Benko faces further charges, including fraud, embezzlement, and bankruptcy, and is due to appear in court again on November 4 and 5.",
"summary": "A few weeks ago, René Benko was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for damaging his creditors. He also spent many months in pre-trial detention. Now he is getting some relief.",
