"summary": "The main opposition People Power Party (PPP) has called for a thorough investigation into the suspicious membership of Shincheonji Church of Jesus followers in the ruling Democratic Party of Korea (DPK). After an internal investigation, the DPK confirmed the findings but did not disclose the exact number of Shincheonji members who had joined the party. PPP floor leader Jeong Jeom-sig urged the newly established Serious Crime Investigation Agency (SCIA) or the police to swiftly investigate the matter, emphasizing the need for the same standards to be applied. The joint prosecution-police investigation team determined that at least 56,472 church members were forced to join the PPP.",
