"account": "According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Detroit Red Wings and forward Alex DeBrincat are nearing agreement on an extension worth about $13 million per season over a span of seven years. The veteran player, a 40-goal scorer, is entering the last year of his current contract and would become the highest-paid member of the team, surpassing the previous leader Dylan Larkin's $8.7 million annual average value. DeBrincat, who hails from Farmington Hills, contributed two goals and an assist in the Red Wings' 5-4 overtime defeat against the New Jersey Devils. Standing with a team that has accumulated eight points after just six games, DeBrincat's potential extension could provide the Red Wings with some much-needed positive news on the off-ice front following their recent loss.",
