"account": "Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) is facing a critical situation as funds run low, putting nearly 400 dogs under its care in jeopardy. The organisation, which has been rescuing stray dogs for nearly two decades, now needs RM60,000 monthly to cover veterinary bills, workers' wages, utilities, and rent for specialised care. Founding member Irene Low reveals that many of the dogs have medical conditions requiring regular medication and frequent vet visits, while the organisation's founders struggle to navigate the changing landscape of animal welfare and fundraising. Despite the challenges, MDDB is seeking regular financial assistance for at least a year from businesses and individuals, as well as support through its sponsorship programme and donations in kind.",
