"summary": "Vanderbilt's Mikayla Blakes and Aubrey Galvan, widely recognized as one of the best young backcourts in women's college basketball, have been praised by their coach, Cheryl Robbins, for their exceptional skills and potential. Blakes, the 2026-27 SEC Preseason Player of the Year, led the nation in scoring last season with an average of 27 points per game, while Galvan, the 2026 SEC Freshman of the Year, averaged 13.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 2.6 steals per game. Despite their impressive stats, both players have acknowledged areas for improvement. Blakes aims to focus more on her play without the ball, such as setting screens, defense, and taking charges, while Galvan hopes to develop her leadership role and \"find her voice\" within the team. Both players have expressed their commitment to working hard and elevating their games to new levels, with Blakes emphasizing the importance of smart decision-making with the ball.",
