"account": "The House of Representatives Committee on Host Communities has recommended extending Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited's (PINL) surveillance contract, dismissing a petition alleging financial misconduct. The sub-committee found no evidence to support claims of improper contract implementation, mismanagement of funds, personal expenditure by the managing director, or neglect of surveillance personnel. PINL appeared before the committee and submitted a report on the impact of its operations on oil production and stability in the Niger Delta. The committee acknowledged PINL's contribution to pipeline protection and commended NNPC Limited's management for supporting pipeline security operations. The recommendation to extend the contract comes as Nigeria works to curb crude oil theft and secure petroleum infrastructure.",
