"account": "Daniel Suarez has agreed to a contract extension with Spire Motorsports for the 2027 NASCAR Cup season, the team announced. The Mexican driver, who joined Spire after five seasons with Trackhouse Racing, secured a Chase appearance and won the rain-shortened Coca-Cola 600 during his time with the team. Suarez is the only foreign-born driver to win a race across all three NASCAR levels and the only non-American to claim a national-level title, winning the NASCAR O Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2016. He started his Cup Series career with Joe Gibbs Racing in 2017, then moved to Stewart-Haas Racing, and most recently with Gaunt Brothers Racing before founding Trackhouse in 2021. Throughout his career, Suarez has secured three victories, including a 2022 win at Sonoma, a 2024 win at Atlanta, and a 2026 win at Charlotte. Currently sitting at 14th in the championship standings, he is just 35 points away from entering the top ten with four races remaining. His current teammates in the Spire team are Carson Hocevar in the No. 77 and Michael McDowell in the No. 71.",
