"summary": "Imagination Africa and Mentors Chess Academy are set to host the second African Genius Chess Championship on October 24, 2026, at Ghud Park, Accra Mall. The event aims to use chess as a tool for developing young minds, promoting inclusion, and providing equal opportunities for children from various socio-economic backgrounds. The maiden edition of the championship, held in 2024, attracted over 150 young players from more than 15 schools across Ghana, with the standout performer being twelve-year-old Dave Chief Quansah Acheampong, who won the Under-20 title. This year's competition will feature different age categories, with trophies, medals, and gift prizes for top finishers and the best girl in each category. Organizers emphasize that chess can help young people develop critical thinking, concentration, discipline, confidence, and problem-solving skills. Imagination Africa, a non-profit organization, plans to make the championship an annual event and seeks partners to expand its reach and support youth development, social inclusion, and intellectual growth.",
