"account": "Veteran receiver Austin Mack is enjoying a successful campaign with the Edmonton Elks, reuniting with longtime quarterback Cody Fajardo. Mack has reached career highs in catches (79), yards (1,229) and touchdowns (eight) through 16 games in his first season with the team. Fajardo, who led the Montreal Alouettes to a Grey Cup championship in 2023, has played a significant role in Mack's improvement. The reunion proved beneficial, as Montreal released Mack ahead of the 2025 season, but Fajardo persisted in contacting Mack and convinced him to sign a two-year deal with Edmonton. The Elks' success is also attributed to other veterans, such as defensive lineman Robbie Smith, defensive back Tyrell Ford, and running back Justin Rankin, who were signed to extensions before Fajardo joined the team. Mack emphasizes the importance of team chemistry and the team's focus on winning and contributing to explosive offenses in challenging Canadian football games.",
