"account": "President John Mahama inaugurated a new 85-bed ward complex at the Ghana Police Hospital in Accra on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The facility, named the Christian Tetteh Yohuno Ward Complex in honor of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), will provide improved healthcare for police personnel, their families, and the general public. Mahama commended the Ghana Police Service for their efforts in enhancing public safety and crime investigations. He emphasized that investing in police healthcare is crucial because officers often face physical and psychological challenges in the course of their duties, including exposure to violence and emergencies. The President urged the Police Service to maintain their commitment to protecting lives and property, stating that the welfare of officers directly impacts their ability to serve the public effectively. Mahama also presented two ambulances as part of the donations to further support the police force's medical capabilities.",
