"account": "A dozen US senators, comprising six Republicans and six Democrats, have urged President Donald Trump to withdraw his diesel oil agreement with Russia, contending that it fuels Moscow's war on Ukraine and provides no advantage to the American people. The lawmakers' letter, obtained by Reuters, underscores a dramatic shift from the nearly unanimous Republican backing for Trump's foreign policy decisions in the weeks leading up to the November 3 midterm elections, which could decide the fate of the party's control over Congress. The senators argue that opening the floodgates for Russian diesel sales on the global market compromises American security and is a betrayal of Ukraine, a nation that continues to resist Russian President Vladimir Putin's ruthless and unlawful conflict. The bipartisan letter, dated Tuesday, highlights that the deal is a \"gift to our adversary and a betrayal of our Allies,\" and demands its immediate termination.",
