"summary": "The Oyo State Government has refuted claims made by the APC, stating there are currently no confirmed cases of diphtheria in the state. According to Punch Nigeria, the government addressed the claims as misinformation.\n\nThe APC's revised Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election has included several prominent political figures, such as FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Anambra State Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo, and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke. Under this new arrangement, Wike was named campaign coordinator for Rivers State and the FCT, while Adeleke and Soludo were appointed coordinators for Osun and Anambra states.\n\nThe appointments have drawn mixed reactions. While an APGA chieftain in Ebonyi State described the move as a strategic decision to broaden President Bola Tinubu’s political support, some APC stakeholders in Ebonyi State have labeled the appointments as unfair to loyal party members. Polycarp Obinna Alegu, a media aide to the Ebonyi State APC chairman, expressed reservations regarding the inclusion of opposition figures in leadership roles within the ruling party's campaign structure.",
