"account": "President John Dramani Mahama has officially opened a new 85-bed ward complex at the Police Hospital in Accra, named in honor of the Inspector General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno. This facility was constructed to celebrate the Police Hospital's Golden Jubilee and is equipped with state-of-the-art healthcare amenities. The President emphasized that the new ward complex is a crucial investment for the health and welfare of Ghana Police Service personnel, significantly enhancing the hospital's ability to serve the larger Ghanaian population. He recalled his previous involvement in honoring police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and mentioned discussing with the IGP the importance of prioritizing the welfare of serving police officers. The President praised the leadership of the IGP and the Police Management Board in delivering this new healthcare block, which boasts the most advanced medical facilities. He also appreciated the healthcare professionals and all personnel who contributed to the project's successful completion. The President highlighted the demanding nature of police work, which takes a toll on both the physical and mental well-being of officers, necessitating prompt and high-quality medical care when they are injured or fall ill. He mentioned that seven police officers who were injured while on duty in Bunkpurugu and Porto have already been admitted to the new ward complex for treatment. The President assured that these officers would receive the best care at the new facility, which would bolster the hospital's capacity to deliver top-tier healthcare services, especially for officers injured while on duty and patients requiring urgent medical attention. He also stressed the importance of addressing the psychological impact of policing, stating that mental health support, counseling, and appropriate treatment should be easily accessible without fear of stigma. The President concluded that when officers feel their health and welfare are being seriously addressed, they can serve with greater confidence and focus, thereby strengthening Ghana's collective security.",
