"account": "Sony has introduced a new limited edition PS5 console, priced at $350, which is exclusive to Japan. This all-black, digitally-delivered model, dubbed the \"Midnight Black\" PS5, is set to launch on November 19 alongside the highly anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto 6. The console will only function with a PlayStation account configured to Japanese language settings and a Japan-based Country/Region preference.\n\nThough a cheaper PS5 model for the global market would be a welcome development, especially amid recent price hikes driven by AI datacenters, Sony has not announced any plans to bring a similarly-priced console to the US or Europe in the near future. The US market has already experienced a price increase on the PS5 and PS5 Pro, and with used PS5 Pros now selling for around $1,400, another price hike seems likely.\n\nAlthough this unique colorway is not available in the US, fans might appreciate the rarity of this Japanese-exclusive console.",
