"account": "Ashley Sanchez, the top goal scorer in the NWSL, is relishing her new position as a winger after switching from midfield. During her time with the USWNT in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, Sanchez struggled to find a role, with minimal playing time and frequent benching. She was often dropped into deep midfield roles, which hindered her defensive capabilities. Now playing for NC Courage and in a new position, Sanchez has transformed her game. Her position change has allowed her to focus on attacking skills, such as dribbling and one-on-one moves, while combining well with teammates. As she returns to the USWNT, she must prove she can contribute defensively before earning a starting spot.",
"summary": "After a three-year hiatus, Ashley Sanchez is back with the USWNT after a sensational NWSL season, but to exorcise her old national team demons, she must face her prior struggles head-on.",
