"account": "The San Diego Padres are reportedly exploring the possibility of reuniting with Yankees outfielder Alex Verdugo, according to Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter. Verdugo, who hit .211/.308/.395 with 18 home runs and a 95 OPS+ in 2025, would bring valuable experience to the Padres' outfield. The 29-year-old will be a free agent this offseason after a stint with the Yankees, where he played from 2020-23. Grisham, who spent three seasons in New York, hit a career-high 34 homers in 2025, but his defensive skills have been questioned. The Padres could potentially run their left-field tandem with Dustin Harris and Samad Taylor again, but Verdugo's presence could provide a more established alternative.",
