"account": "On Tuesday, the White House requested that Kimberly Guilfoyle, the US ambassador to Greece, resign her position. During her inaugural press briefing as the new White House press secretary, Katie Zacharia announced the request, stating, \"We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign. She has been a wonderful asset to the team and we wish her well.\"\n\nThe White House's decision to ask for Guilfoyle's resignation followed President Trump's administration's investigation into her alleged ethical misconduct. The US embassy in Athens confirmed to the newspaper that she had adhered to State Department ethics guidelines and completed all necessary gift-reporting requirements.",
