"account": "The majority on Parliament's Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Committee has dismissed the minority's allegations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs mishandling GH¢49.7 million allocated for evacuating Ghanaians from South Africa. Committee Chairman Dr Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije labeled the Minority's claims as \"dubious political mischief\" and affirmed that the Ministry has thoroughly accounted for the expenditure. He emphasized that a comprehensive document, exceeding 200 pages, submitted in response to a Right to Information (RTI) request, details the financial outlay during the evacuation process. Dr Vanderpuije maintained that the Ministry's records directly contradict the Minority's assertions of lack of accountability. Instead, the majority is urging the Attorney-General to conduct a forensic investigation into all evacuation exercises carried out by the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. The Minority insists that the Ministry must furnish a comprehensive account of the funds, while the majority argues that the submitted documents adequately satisfy the Minority's concerns.",
