"account": "Kenyans National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah criticized Democracy for Citizens party leader Rigathi Gachagua, calling him a “fool” over allegations that Gikomba Market had been sold. Ichung’wah defended the government's efforts to clear Nairobi’s rivers and enhance drainage, explaining that Kenyans had been misinformed into believing traders at Gikomba would lose their market. He affirmed he had seen Gikomba recently and was impressed by its progress, contradicting the claims he was criticizing. The Majority Leader's remarks upset the House, with Temporary Speaker David Ochieng questioning whether Ichung’wah was referring to a specific person. Ichung’wah denied, stating he was discussing misleading claims. He urged authorities to respond to concerns raised by Starehe MP Junet Mohamed about damaged infrastructure. Junet emphasized the urgency of drainage and flood preparedness, noting past heavy rains led to many deaths due to poor drainage. Suba South MP Caroli Omondi, however, argued that Parliament should not focus on unnamed individuals or \"imaginary enemies.\"",
