"account": "Last month, MLS commissioner Don Garber engaged in a heated public exchange with Lionel Messi following an Inter Miami victory in the Campeones Cup. The exact words exchanged remain undisclosed by Garber, who stated that the incident is between him and Messi. However, Garber praised Messi, calling him \"the greatest athlete of all time\" during a speech at the Front Office Sports Tuned In summit in New York. The confrontation arose after videos surfaced of Messi gesticulating at Garber during the trophy presentation. Garber argued that Messi's passion sets him apart from other all-time greats, highlighting his star-power as a major draw for attendance and revenue. This is not the first time Garber and Messi have had a strained relationship; last year, Messi was suspended for skipping the league’s All-Star Game, a decision which Messi and Inter Miami vehemently opposed. Despite the tension, Garber acknowledged Messi's significant impact on the league, praising his star power and attendance-boosting abilities.",
