"account": "Apple introduced a new $299 Apple TV 4K streaming device today, featuring an upgraded chip, integration with the enhanced Siri AI for content discovery, and microphones that enable voice commands directly without using the remote. The refreshed Apple TV 4K is equipped with an upgraded A19 chip to facilitate various AI features. Hardware-wise, the new streaming box incorporates three far-field microphones, allowing users to converse with Siri without the need for a remote or a paired HomePod. The company announced that users can now enjoy a four-speaker surround sound experience with Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2 or HomePod 2 speakers. The remote has also undergone an update, now including a small speaker that assists users in locating it when lost amidst the couch or when left in another room during chores. Apple previously added a method to locate the remote via Siri and Find My in 2023, although it relied on displaying directions within the app rather than an audible sound. With Siri AI now expanding across all Apple platforms, the primary appeal of Apple's offering is its ability to leverage AI for more personalized content recommendations and enhanced user experiences. On the Apple TV, users can inquire about specific content, such as, \"What Apple TV shows won Emmy Awards this year?\" or seek additional details about shows using questions like, \"Where was Pluribus filmed?\" While rivals Google and Amazon have incorporated AI for content suggestions in recent years, Apple's device has not seen frequent updates, as this upgrade had been pending for four years following the original Apple TV 4K launch in 2022. Bloomberg reported that Apple aimed to release the new device in 2024, but delays in integrating AI-powered Siri necessitated the simultaneous launch of other home devices. Customers can pre-order the new Apple TV 4K starting today, with availability set for November 13.",
