"account": "Borussia Dortmund have extended head coach Niko Kovač's contract through June 30, 2029, the club announced on Tuesday. Kovač, 54, took over the club in spring 2025 and has guided Dortmund to Champions League qualification and a second-place finish in the Bundesliga, their fifth-highest total. His points-per-game average across 53 Bundesliga matches is the highest of any Dortmund head coach. The contract extension demonstrates the club's confidence in Kovač's methods and direction. Kovač and his brother and assistant coach, Robert, as well as assistant Filip Tapalović, will all continue their roles at the club under the extension.",
