"account": "The Lemil Development Union (LDU) has sought urgent intervention from Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas to address incidents of house burnings and restrictions on farming activities in Mbamnga, Sardauna Local Government Area. In a letter dated October 13, 2026, the union expressed concern over reports of houses being burned in surrounding settlements, including Roh, despite ongoing peacebuilding efforts. It warned that continued insecurity could undermine recent progress towards restoring peace in the community. The LDU also highlighted restrictions preventing residents from accessing their farmlands, which could worsen food insecurity and threaten livelihoods in the largely agrarian region. The union urged the state government to investigate the house burnings, strengthen security measures, and establish a fair and impartial process for farmers to safely access and harvest their crops.",
