"summary": "Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner met in Islamabad on Tuesday to agree on enhancing cooperation regarding border security, border management, and legal migration. According to Dawn, the two sides also discussed promoting legal migration and increasing opportunities for a skilled workforce between Pakistan and the European Union. They agreed to work together on the EU’s Eastern Corridor Initiative to eliminate illegal migration and to strengthen institutional coordination and immigration cooperation.\n\nDuring the meeting, Brunner commended Pakistan’s efforts to reduce illegal migration to Europe, noting a 64 per cent reduction. Dawn reports that Brunner praised the professional competence of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) despite its limited resources, adding that the decline in illegal migration would facilitate legal migration. Naqvi stated that Pakistan has adopted a zero-tolerance policy toward illegal migration and said that following the 64 per cent reduction, the next target is its complete elimination.",
