"account": "President John Dramani Mahama has greenlit a new Integrated Basic Education Model in Ghana, which will combine kindergarten, primary, and junior high school education within a single school structure. The Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, informed this decision on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show, stating the model's funding will be allocated under the GETFund formula in 2027. The plan involves constructing at least one model school per district or region. This initiative aims to create dedicated infrastructure, including classrooms, changing rooms, laboratories, and STEM rooms. Pupils would transition from kindergarten to Primary One through to Primary Six, then continue to junior high school within the same school environment. The concept originated from Iddrisu's visit to Asuogyaman in the Asuogyaman Constituency, where he commissioned a school block. He emphasized that this model focuses on infrastructure rather than curriculum changes, ensuring a unified physical environment for basic education. Iddrisu also informed the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs and shared the news with relevant local assemblies.",
