"account": "Former world number 1 Iga Swiatek faces a challenging scenario as she battles to secure a spot in the WTA Finals, which is set to take place from November 8-15 at Indian Wells. Currently, Swiatek is ranked 10th in the qualifying standings, with only four of the eight remaining spots open. The six-time major champion has had a relatively tough year, winning just one tournament to date at the Canadian Open in August. She has struggled to progress beyond the quarter-final stage at all four Grand Slams in 2024. Despite her recent struggles, Swiatek remains determined to finish the year on a high and improve her chances of making it to the season finale. She acknowledged the difficulty of the situation, expressing her desire to qualify for the WTA Finals, stating that it is her goal. This is the first time Swiatek has found herself in this position, as she has participated in every edition of the tournament since 2021. The 25-year-old sees the challenge as a positive opportunity to motivate herself, with several tournaments ahead of the crucial WTA Finals. Swiatek will kick off her campaign in Wuhan on Wednesday, facing compatriot Magdalena Frech. Prior to the finals, she is also scheduled to compete in WTA 500 events in Ningbo and Tokyo.",
