"account": "Ghanaian sports journalist Fiifi Anaman has decided to abandon his PhD studies at Michigan State University due to mental health concerns and a lack of passion for academia. In a statement posted on his LinkedIn page, Anaman revealed that he is returning to Ghana to start a new chapter in his life. He described the period as difficult but expressed trust in God as he prepared to return home. Anaman appealed to his professional network for assistance in securing employment in sports journalism or broadcasting, citing his CV. However, his decision drew criticism from some social media users who deemed it cowardly. Anaman defended his choice, questioning why sharing his personal experience should be perceived as immaturity. He also disclosed that he has faced repeated stays in mental health facilities and an incident involving his admission to Accra Psychiatric Hospital. Anaman defended his decision to speak publicly about his struggles, expressing disappointment in what he described as hypocrisy among his critics, particularly those who profess Christianity but fear the devil.",
