"account": "The Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs is set to convene as the legislative body reconvenes on Tuesday, with top priorities including the proposed establishment of state police, the tragic Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in Ondo State, and ongoing electoral reforms. The Senate had previously postponed its National Security Summit, originally scheduled for October 12 and 13, following the loss of 25 officers and seven crew members in the aircraft disaster. In response, Senate Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele declared three days of national mourning and directed that the country's flags be flown at half-mast. The ad-hoc committee responsible for organizing the summit had completed preparations following zonal public hearings, but the Ondo State crash forced its cancellation. The Senate is now expected to address key national issues, such as insecurity, as well as the progress of the constitutional amendment process, which includes the proposal for state police services.",
