"account": "Iga Swiatek finds herself in a precarious position as she races to secure a spot in the WTA Finals, which are set to take place from November 8-15 at Indian Wells. Currently sitting at 10th in the qualifying standings, four of the eight available places remain to be determined. (EPA Images pic)\n\nThe six-time major champion, who is ranked as the world's top player, has only triumphed in one tournament this year, namely the Canadian Open in August. Despite her absence from the quarter-final stages at all four Grand Slams, Swiatek remains undeterred. \"Obviously, I am aware of the situation and it would be great to get into the Finals,\" she stated to reporters on Monday. \"It's the first time I've faced a situation like this, to reach the finals. It's a challenge, but I feel it's a positive one and I'm really motivated.\"\n\nWith only four spots left in the tournament, Swiatek is determined to conclude the year on a high and maximize her chances of reaching the season finale. Ahead of the Wuhan Open, she faces her compatriot Magdalena Frech in their opening match on Wednesday. Swiatek will also compete at WTA 500 events in Ningbo and Tokyo before the WTA Finals are completed.",
