"account": "The Hanwha Eagles have re-signed Taiwanese pitcher Wang Yan-Cheng for the upcoming year, according to a statement released on Tuesday. The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) club disclosed that Wang will be signing a new one-year contract worth $200,000, in addition to receiving a $100,000 signing bonus. Although Wang served as the Eagles' Asian quota player this season, he was instrumental in a rotation that suffered from numerous injuries and underwhelming performances, all while earning $100,000. The 25-year-old left-hander compiled an 11-6 record with a 3.97 ERA over 133 2/3 innings, striking out 100 batters. Wang was the sole Hanwha pitcher to surpass the 10-win mark. He also finished second on the team in innings pitched and strikeouts, trailing former major league hurler Ryu Hyun-jin. Wang expressed his gratitude for the club's trust in his abilities, stating that he aims to rectify his weaknesses and continue to improve. The Eagles reached the Korean Series last year but concluded the regular season in ninth place among the 10-team league. They also lagged behind in crucial pitching statistics.",
