"account": "Police officers from the Ekiti State Command, featured in an online video showing an interaction with a motorcyclist, are now under investigation for misconduct at the national Police Complaint Response Unit in Abuja. This disciplinary action was initiated following a directive from the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, after receiving a complaint from the Biker Association, Federal University Oye-Ekiti chapter, on October 6. The incident reportedly involved the alleged extortion and intimidation of one of the association's members during a roadworthiness check. The Ekiti State Police Command has identified and detained the involved officers, transferring the investigation to the State Police Headquarters in Ado-Ekiti for a thorough and unbiased examination. The Commissioner of Police, Falade Micheal, emphasized the firm stance against all forms of extortion, intimidation, and abuse of authority, stating that no police officer is authorized to demand money from the public during their official duties. The police have not yet disclosed the results of the investigation or the specific punishments the officers may endure.",
