"account": "During Game 2 of the 1998 NBA Finals, Michael Jordan donned the red jersey of the Chicago Bulls against the Utah Jazz, contributing to his team's victory that tied the series at 1-1. This jersey subsequently fetched a record-breaking US$14 million at auction, surpassing the previous high for basketball memorabilia at US$14 million. The Bulls ultimately won the series in six games, culminating in Jordan's sixth and final NBA championship. Hunt Auctions, the auction house, described the market for basketball memorabilia as an \"elite asset class\" comparable to renowned works of art. Ron Firman, a Miami real estate investor, acquired the jersey in a private sale. Jordan's memorabilia from the 1998 Finals has garnered significant interest, with his Game 1 jersey selling for around US$10.1 million in 2022 and his Game 3 jersey auctioned for approximately US$12.3 million. The 1997-98 season was extensively documented in the Netflix hit series, \"The Last Dance.\"",
