"summary": "President Trump stated on Friday via Truth Social that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 tons of diesel to global markets, followed by an additional 500,000 tons in November and 1 million tons thereafter. This follows Trump's Sunday announcement of an \"energy ceasefire\" between Russia and Ukraine, though he provided no specific details regarding the agreement. According to the Jerusalem Post, President Zelensky said the announcement \"was news\" to him, though he noted Ukraine would agree to such a ceasefire if Russia accepted an energy-focused agreement.\n\nTrump claimed that Vladimir Putin is more eager to reach a deal than Zelensky. When questioned about the fact that neither side had agreed to the ceasefire, Trump responded that they agreed because he said they agreed. The Jerusalem Post reports that Zelensky has expressed readiness to suspend strikes on Russian refineries if Moscow ceases attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities.\n\nThe Hill reports that allies of Kyiv, including some within President Trump’s circle, are pushing back against the diesel deal and threats to cut off weapons.",
