"summary": "Former federal treasurer Josh Frydenberg told The Conversation that he intends to continue advocating for stronger economic reforms, such as raising the goods and services tax (GST). Despite having his proposal previously rejected by Liberal leader Angus Taylor, Frydenberg stated he is not deterred and does not find the rejection unexpected.\n\nIn marking the release of his new memoir, A Grateful Son, Frydenberg provided a blueprint for the Liberal Party's revival. Regarding his own political future, he said he is still deciding whether to attempt to recapture his former seat of Kooyong. He noted that any decision to return to politics will be made next year and is ultimately a family decision.\n\nCrikey described Frydenberg as a \"terrible treasurer\" regarding his impact on the budget, but noted he is correct regarding the GST.",
