"account": "British Prime Minister Andy Burnham met Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak during his tenure as mayor of Manchester, according to the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. The meeting took place at the UK Government's Global Investment Summit in October 2021, arranged by the Department for International Trade. Burnham, who was mayor from 2017 to June 2026, had previously attended City's home matches on occasion and met the chairman informally during a testimonial match. Burnham expressed concern if City's owners sold the club following a guilty verdict for breaching Premier League financial rules. The club is owned by Abu Dhabi United Group, controlled by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan. However, there has been criticism and demands for clarification regarding Burnham's relationship with City's owners, who have invested significantly in Manchester through partnerships with local authorities.",
