"summary": "The U.K. has sanctioned Dutch businessman Alexander Tattersall and his Turkish company, Redwing Metal, for their involvement in shipping EU-made industrial machinery to Russian missile suppliers. This decision comes nearly four months after the Kyiv Independent investigation exposed Redwing Metal's role in supplying equipment to Russian defense industry entities. The sanctions, part of a package of 38 designations announced by the U.K. Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) on Oct. 8, target Russian oil companies, shadow fleet tankers, crypto exchanges, and suppliers of goods critical to Russia's military. According to Roman Steblivskyi, director of policy and advocacy at the Economic Security Council of Ukraine (ESCU), the sanctions effectively close the supply chain through Redwing Metal to Russia, potentially impacting European partners as well. However, the Russian beneficiaries of the supply chain remain partially outside the scope of Western sanctions.",
