"summary": "US President Donald Trump has defended his deal with Russia to suspend export sanctions on Russian fuel, arguing it was \"the right choice\" and accusing Europe of hypocrisy for continuing to import Russian energy. The agreement, which could direct up to $4 billion in US funds to Moscow, has faced criticism from both Republicans and Democrats. The European Union's top diplomat stated that it is \"not the time to ease pressure on Russia, and Europe won't,\" unveiling its largest sanctions package against entities accused of supporting Russia's war efforts. The Financial Times' editorial board noted that Trump's move is reminiscent of his previous criticism of India and China for buying Russian oil, while threatening sanctions over their purchases.",
