"summary": "The United States, the United Kingdom, and 30 other countries have jointly condemned Iran following a British assessment that links Tehran to an incident at RAF Fairford airbase in September 2026. In a joint statement issued on October 12, 2026, the governments recognized the UK's attribution of Iran's involvement in the incident, which took place on September 27, 2026, and raised security concerns at the military facility in Gloucestershire. The statement was backed by Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and 24 European countries, including France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, and Sweden. The governments accused Iran of using violence, covert networks, and proxy actors to pursue activities beyond its borders, warning that anyone conducting hostile activities on behalf of Iran or another state would face efforts to identify, investigate, and prosecute those responsible. The incident is linked to a recent wave of attacks across Europe targeting Jewish communities, Iranian journalists, and US interests, which were claimed by Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya (HAYI).",
