"account": "Peshawar's Deputy Commissioner has announced that all public and private schools and colleges in the city will remain open on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. This decision comes after they debunked a false social media alert that suggested further closures. On Monday, schools and colleges had been shut down due to roadblocks and the imposition of governor’s rule by the Centre in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with an emergency in several districts.\n\nThe Peshawar DC's statement on their official Facebook page urged all students, parents, and citizens to disregard the misleading notification and only trust official announcements for updates. Section 144 is still in effect in Peshawar, which bans assemblies for seven days and prohibits the display of weapons or items that could be used to commit violence.\n\nTransPeshawar, responsible for the city's Bus Rapid Transit system, stated that its services will continue as normal on all routes starting Tuesday. However, in other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, the situation differs. Dera Ismail Khan, for instance, will keep all public and private educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, closed on Tuesday, along with keeping examinations scheduled for that day cancelled. Similarly, in Punjab, education departments have also dismissed the fake closure notices on social media and confirmed that the regular functioning of schools, colleges, and universities will proceed as per their usual schedules.",
