"account": "The Cleveland Guardians faced a sleepless night leading up to their American League Championship Series (ALCS) game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Manager Stephen Vogt informed starting pitcher Foster Griffin that he would only learn of his assignment thirty minutes before the team's Sunday evening workout at Tropicana Field. This rushed decision came after the Guardians partied until the early hours of the morning following their victory over the Chicago White Sox. The Guardians' lack of sleep contrasts sharply with the Tampa Bay Rays, who had known their starting pitcher for the better part of a week. The Rays clinched their spot in the ALCS last Wednesday at Yankee Stadium and had taken time to relax on Thursday. Their preparation included an intrasquad game on Saturday with piped-in crowd music and personalized walk-up tunes for each hitter. Pitcher Griffin Jax observed this game from home while Cleveland Guardians players continued playing into the late hours of Saturday night. Jax, a father of two young children, admitted to wrestling the lineup cards of both teams while managing his young kids. He noted the stark difference between the two teams' approaches to preparing for the series.\n\nThe baseball debate of rest versus rust has long been a topic of discussion. The Rays will begin the series after a four-day period of baseball and rest, with Game 1 scheduled to be pitched by Drew Rasmussen. With eight days of rest, Rasmussen has faced the Yankees on October 3, and pitchers Nick Martinez and Freddy Peralta are fully rested and available for the ALCS. Rasmussen emphasized the advantage of having this rest, stating that the season is long with 162 games and not many off days. Bullpen relievers were reportedly fatigued towards the end of the regular season.\n\nGuardians outfielder Jo Adell acknowledged the team's celebration, admitting that they had a good bit of fun but were ready to move on. Manager Vogt acknowledged the late decision in choosing his starting pitcher, attributing it to the team's celebration. Meanwhile, Rays manager Kevin Cash formally announced Rasmussen's start on Sunday, calling it an easy choice. From observing the Guardians' game, Cash monitored the AL Division Series and a Georgia-Alabama football game. Cash also watched Griffin Jax from home to prepare mentally for his start. Jax also watched the Guardians' game proactively to mentally prepare for his start. The Rays had not relied as heavily on their relievers throughout the season due to their successful run in the AL Division Series, which proved crucial for their relievers. This age-old debate on rest versus rust is clear in the contrasting preparations of the two teams.",
