"summary": "Ben Affleck described his experience working on Justice League as the lowest point of his career during an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. He stated the experience was \"so, so negative\" for various reasons, including personal issues and tragedies occurring at the time.\n\nAccording to IGN, Affleck noted that the production demonstrated the mistakes made when a studio is at odds with a filmmaker. He suggested this experience turned him off from the idea of helming a movie within the DC universe. While Affleck had previously been set to direct, produce, co-write, and star in a standalone Batman film that would have featured Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, he ultimately stepped away from the project.\n\nAffleck's portrayal of the character appeared in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017's Justice League, according to Polygon. He also had a bit part in 2023's The Flash.",
