"summary": "Former senior policeman Shadrack Sibiya, who has been accused of sexually grooming a child and rape, has resigned from the South African Police Service (SAPS) while facing a disciplinary process. The police view this as a \"dishonourable discharge,\" and it comes 37 years after Sibiya first entered the service. Sibiya's resignation marks the end of his long career in South Africa's policing arena, where he rose through the ranks, starting with the Scorpions and targeting violent criminals and fugitives.",
