"account": "On Monday, a 14-year-old boy brought a hunting gun to Joseph-Lakanal middle school in the southern French town of Aubagne and opened fire, injuring the headmaster and a teacher before being subdued by a staff member. The attack occurred in a classroom where teachers and pupils were present, with the gunman firing at least four shots, including one that struck the blackboard. The headmaster, aged 53, and the teacher, 37, were not in life-threatening condition. The suspect, who entered the school carrying a guitar case, removed a long gun from it and targeted the headmaster, hitting him in the thighs and lower back. The teacher was also injured in the thigh. One student described the gunman as stating, \"I've only come for the teachers, not for the pupils.\" Police have not found any connection between this incident and recent high school protests in France. The suspect had no prior history of delinquency or radicalization. French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez visited the site and called for a societal response to prevent future violence. Education Minister Edouard Geffray urged action against such incidents, emphasizing that schools cannot tackle major violence alone.",
