"summary": "Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant at the Washington, D.C. home of Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar. A spokesperson for the Department of Justice stated the enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation. The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald report the search is related to allegations of immigration fraud and was conducted three weeks before the midterm elections.\n\nRep. Omar described the search as an attempt to weaponize federal law enforcement and target political enemies. In a social media post, she stated that President Donald Trump has targeted her with baseless lies and smear campaigns for ten years, calling the incident an escalation of political intimidation.\n\nAccording to Reuters, a person familiar with the investigation said the probe concerns immigration paperwork filled out by Omar's late father when she was a child, though Time has been unable to independently verify this detail.",
